Vishnu Vratham, a sacred ritual observed in devotion to Lord Vishnu, the protector and sustainer in the Hindu trinity. This vratam is usually performed for peace, prosperity, health, and moksha (liberation), and is especially effective when done on Ekadashi, Thursdays, or Vaikuntha Ekadashi.

Best Days to Perform:

• Ekadashi (11th day of lunar fortnight)

• Thursdays

• Vaikuntha Ekadashi (highly auspicious)

• During difficulties or for spiritual upliftment

Items Needed:

• Lord Vishnu or Venkateswara idol/photo

• Tulsi leaves (very important)

• Yellow flowers

• Banana, fruits, coconut

• Panchamrit (milk, curd, ghee, honey, sugar)

• Incense sticks, camphor, lamp

• Chandan (sandal paste), turmeric, kumkum

• Naivedyam (sweet like kesari, or jaggery pongal)
