🌸 Sri Rama Navami Puja – Celebration of Lord Rama’s Birth

Sri Rama Navami is a highly auspicious Hindu festival celebrating the birth of Lord Rama, the 7th incarnation of Lord Vishnu, to King Dasharatha and Queen Kaushalya in Ayodhya. It falls on the 9th day (Navami) of the Shukla Paksha (waxing moon) in the month of Chaitra (March–April), which also marks the end of Chaitra Navratri.

🛕 Sri Rama Navami Puja Vidhi (Puja Procedure)

🌅 1. Morning Preparations

  • Take a holy bath and wear clean, preferably yellow or white clothes.
  • Clean the puja space and place an idol or image of Lord Rama, along with Sita, Lakshmana, and Hanuman.

  • Kumkum, haldi, chandan (sandalwood paste)

  5. Archana – Offer flowers while chanting the 108 or 1008 names of Lord Rama (Sri Rama Ashtottara Shatanamavali).
  6. Aarti – Perform Aarti with a lit lamp while singing Rama Bhajans or Sri Rama Raksha Stotra.
  7. Naivedyam (Food Offering) – Offer panakam, jaggery dishes, banana, and kosambari.
