📜 Significance:
Vastu Shanti Puja is a sacred ritual performed to appease the Vastu Purush—the spirit believed to reside in the land and building—and to remove any Vastu doshas (defects) that may cause obstacles, disturbances, or negativity in the home or workplace. It harmonizes the energies of the space according to Vastu Shastra principles, inviting peace, prosperity, health, and happiness. In Maharashtra, it is commonly performed before moving into a new house, after renovations, or whenever there are disturbances attributed to Vastu imbalances.

🗓️ When It’s Performed:

  • Typically performed before Griha Pravesh (housewarming) or after renovations
  • Can be done on an auspicious day chosen by consulting a Panditji or astrologer
  • Usually conducted in the morning during Brahma Muhurat or other favorable muhurats

🛐 Who Can Perform:

📦 Puja Samagri (Items Required):

  • Kalash with holy water, mango leaves, and coconut
  • Haldi (turmeric), kumkum (vermilion), chandan (sandalwood paste)
  • Fresh flowers, garlands, and mango or betel leaves
  • Rice, sesame seeds, grains, and salt
  • Diya (oil lamp), agarbatti (incense sticks), camphor
  • Fruits, sweets, and prasadam
  • Cow dung cakes and havan samagri for the fire ritual
  • Darbha grass and betel nuts

  1. Invocation of Vastu Purush and other deities with chanting of Vastu-related mantras
