🕉️ Maha Shivaratri Puja – Worship of Lord Shiva
Maha Shivaratri is one of the most significant Hindu festivals dedicated to Lord Shiva, observed on the 14th night (Chaturdashi) of the Krishna Paksha (waning moon) in the month of Phalguna/Magha (February–March). It symbolizes the cosmic union of Shiva and Shakti, and the night of awakening (jagran) for spiritual seekers.
🛕 Significance of Maha Shivaratri
- Celebrates the marriage of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati.
- It is believed that on this night, Lord Shiva performed the Tandava, the cosmic dance of creation and destruction.
- Fasting and praying on Maha Shivaratri is said to cleanse sins and grant moksha (liberation).
