Lalitha Sahasranama Puja is a sacred Hindu ritual dedicated to Goddess Lalitha Tripura Sundari, an embodiment of divine feminine energy and supreme consciousness. This powerful puja involves the recitation of the Lalitha Sahasranama, a collection of 1,000 names of the goddess, each describing her divine qualities, powers, and cosmic roles. These names are part of the Brahmanda Purana and were revealed by Lord Hayagriva to Sage Agastya.

The puja is typically performed on Fridays, during Navaratri, full moon days, or other auspicious occasions. It begins with Ganapati Puja to remove obstacles, followed by Sankalpam (statement of intent), Kalasha Sthapana (installation of the sacred pot), and invocation of the goddess. The core part of the ritual is the chanting of the 1,000 names, often accompanied by offering kumkum, flowers, or turmeric with each name (Archana).

Lalitha Sahasranama Puja is believed to bring immense spiritual and material benefits. Devotees perform it to seek blessings of health, prosperity, peace, protection from evil, and spiritual growth. It is also said to remove mental stress and negative influences, and bestow divine grace.

In some traditions, the puja includes Sri Chakra Puja, worshipping the sacred geometric form associated with the goddess. The ritual concludes with Aarti, Naivedyam (food offering), and distribution of Prasadam.

This puja is not only a devotional offering but also a deeply spiritual practice that helps the devotee connect with the universal mother. Performed with faith and devotion, it brings harmony, fulfillment, and divine blessings into one’s life.
