- Avoid days like Amavasya (no moon), Rahu Kaal, or days of lunar/solar eclipses.
- Preferred months: Magh, Falgun, Vaishakh, Jyeshtha (based on Hindu calendar).

- Apoorva Griha Pravesh – First entry into a newly constructed home.
- Sapoorva Griha Pravesh – Re-entry into a home after renovation or long absence.
- Dwandwah Griha Pravesh – Re-entry after calamities like fire, flood, or disputes.
🪔 Essential Puja Rituals
- House Cleaning & Decoration
- Clean the entire home thoroughly.
- Decorate with rangoli, flowers, mango leaves, and toran at the entrance.
- Light diyas and incense sticks.
- Kalash Sthapana (Sacred Pot Installation)
- A Kalash (copper pot) filled with water, topped with mango leaves and a coconut, is placed at the entrance or near the altar.
- Ganapati Puja
- Performed first to invoke Lord Ganesha to remove obstacles and ensure success.
- Vastu Shanti Puja
- A ritual to pacify Vastu Purusha (spirit of the house) and seek his blessings.
- Items used: turmeric, kumkum, ghee lamp, akshata (rice), cow dung, etc.
- A Vastu Homa (fire ritual) may also be performed for energy purification.
- Navagraha Shanti Puja
- A homam and chant dedicated to the nine planets (Sun, Moon, Mars, Mercury, Jupiter, Venus, Saturn, Rahu, Ketu).
- Aims to mitigate any malefic planetary effects and harmonize cosmic energies.
- Lakshmi Puja
- Worship of Goddess Lakshmi for wealth and abundance.

- Boiling Milk / Cooking First Meal
- Boiling milk in the new kitchen symbolizes prosperity overflowing.
- Sweet rice or kheer is prepared and offered to deities, then shared as prasad.
- House Entry Ritual
- The family enters the house, usually with the lady carrying the Kalash.
- Right foot should be placed first when entering.
- Chanting of mantras, shankha (conch blowing), and aarti are done at the entrance.
