Rama Navami is a sacred Hindu festival that celebrates the birth of Lord Rama, the seventh incarnation of Lord Vishnu. It falls on the ninth day (Navami) of the Shukla Paksha in the month of Chaitra (March–April), marking the culmination of the Chaitra Navratri.

🙏 Rama Navami Puja Rituals

• Cleaning and Altar Setup:
  • Homes and temples are cleaned and decorated with flowers, rangoli, and images or idols of Lord Rama, Sita, Lakshmana, and Hanuman.
• Kalash Sthapana and Invocation:
  • A Kalash (sacred pot) is placed and worshipped.
  • Lord Rama is invoked with Vedic mantras and prayers.
• Recitation of Scriptures:
  • Devotees read the Ramayana, especially the birth chapter (Bal Kand), and chant Rama Nama or “Shri Ram Jai Ram Jai Jai Ram”.
• Offerings and Bhog:
  • Offerings include fruits, sweets (like panakam and kosambari), tulsi leaves, and traditional vegetarian dishes.
  • Special prasadam is distributed among devotees.
• Bhajans and Kirtans:
  • Devotional songs and Ram bhajans are sung in praise of Lord Rama.
• Rama Janma Ceremony:
  • At midday, the time of Rama’s birth, devotees perform a ceremonial birth celebration with the cradle ceremony (Ram Janmotsav).
