Vishnu Abhishekam is a deeply spiritual ritual performed to worship Lord Vishnu, the Preserver in the Hindu Trinity. This sacred bath offering is done to receive blessings for protection, prosperity, harmony, and moksha (liberation). It’s particularly beneficial on Ekadashi, Vaikuntha Ekadashi, Saturdays, or Thursdays, and in temples like Tirupati, Srirangam, or at home.

Best Days for Vishnu Abhishekam:

• Ekadashi (11th day of lunar fortnight)

• Vaikuntha Ekadashi

• Saturdays and Thursdays

• During Purattasi month (Tamil calendar) – highly auspicious

Items Required

• Kalasha water with tulsi or mango leaves

• Panchamrita (milk, curd, honey, ghee, banana)

• Other Abhisheka items:

  • Pure water

  • Tender coconut water

  • Rosewater

  • Sandalwood paste

  • Turmeric water

• Tulsi leaves (very important for Vishnu)

• Fresh flowers (yellow, white)

• Naivedyam – fruits, payasam, butter, jaggery, cooked rice

• Incense, camphor, diya (lamp)
